Biography

Elizabeth DeRobertisElizabeth DeRobertis, MS, RD, CDN, CDE is a Registered Dietitian with a Masters Degree in Clinical Nutrition from New York University. Elizabeth has been providing nutritional counseling for a decade, and has helped thousands of people to lose weight and keep it off. Elizabeth has helped clients to lose from 10 – 100+ pounds, and have dramatically improved the quality of their lives.

Elizabeth is also a Certified Diabetes Educator, and Insulin Pump Trainer. An expert in the field of Diabetes she works with a team of Endocrinologists and the Scarsdale Medical Group, as well as dozens of top physicians in Westchester County and New York City. Elizabeth provides counseling to people with Type 1, Type 2, and Gestational Diabetes, as well as developing diabetes prevention plans. She works with both pediatrics and adults in the management of their diabetes and helping them to achieve optimal blood sugar control. Elizabeth recently completed a study with Abbott Diabetes care as one of only 9 sites in the country to be included in an exciting diabetes study testing the latest technology for continuous glucose management.

Elizabeth is a monthly editor and contributor to the Nutrition Research Newsletter published by Frost and Sullivan for the past 10 years. She also creates content for various other companies and publications. She is currently serving on the Medical Advisory Board of Nutrimaps, an individualized service for nutrition and disease management. Along with Kanter Multimedia and the American Diabetes Association, Elizabeth recently created, and was featured in, an educational DVD for national distribution, to educate patients on both Type 1 and Type 2 Diabetes. Elizabeth provides consultation to the Stroller Strides L.E.A.N. (Learn Eating Awareness and Nutrition) Mommies program, an 8-week lifestyle weight management program. Elizabeth dedicates many hours each week as a consultant to Medtronic, educating patients on how to optimize their blood glucose control utilizing insulin pump therapy & continuous blood glucose monitoring systems.

Elizabeth has been asked to speak at conferences, lectures, schools and corporations across the country and in Europe. She has spoken on countless topics such as weight management for both adults and children, diabetes, dining out, healthy eating while traveling, motivational techniques, use of meal replacements, and has provided diabetes education to other healthcare professionals, consumers, and corporate executives. She has presented to audiences of over 500. Elizabeth has worked with celebrities such as Whoopi Goldberg, alongside high profile experts such as Dr. Jay Adlersberg, and has been featured on national television shows such as Dateline, Food Network – Unwrapped, CBS Live at 5, The WE Network – New Year New You Makeover, and on the program No Place Like Home. Elizabeth has been featured as a nutrition guru on websites such as Slim-Fast, iVillage, eDiets, WebMD, and Walmart.

Elizabeth is a member of the American Dietetic Association, Greater New York Dietetic Association, New York State Dietetic Association, Nutrition Entrepreneurs Dietetics Practice Group, Weight Management Dietetics Practice Group, and Diabetes Education Dietetics Practice Group.
